I developed the branding for Dallas Empire to be the crown jewel of the Call of Duty League. We had a star-studded roster, and expected high levels of performance out the gate.
The first title the League would be playing was Call of Duty: Cold War, and to reflect that, myself and my junior designers developed a branding style showing redacted information, old school text effects with grain and TV effects.
These graphics needed to incorporate a sponsor line, and update our fans on current matches and score lines.
Using text effects and overlays, we were able to combine the older styles with a new age look that the young demographic is familiar with. These were received very well by the fans of the Call of Duty League.
To further the brand style, when we signed new players, I replicated dossiers to feature their info, and used imagery from our home city of Dallas.
